Blown engine, dead gearbox, will not start, sat for years. A car that cannot be driven is close to worthless to a buyer who only sells whole cars.
It is not worthless here, because we part cars out and sell the parts. An engine that is finished does not make the doors, the seats, the wheels, the lights or the electronics worth nothing.
